Cailin Traditional Irish Dancing School

Have you ever watched River Dance or Lord of the Dance and thought – I could do that? Well now you can! Irish Dancing is a great way to get fit, have fun and make new friends.

The Cailin Traditional Irish Dancing School was established in 1995 by Ann Parker as a non profit community group.

The School contributes to art and culture in the Manawatu through regular performances at community events such as St Patrick's Day and the Festival of Cultures, and, in 2008 the school successfully produced its first show “The Children of Lir”.

Classes are held in St Patrick's Parish Hall, Amesbury Street (behind the Cathedral) every Tuesday evening for adults and Friday afternoons for children during school terms.
