Highbury Weavers




Te Whatu Raranga O Highbury Weavers are a group of Weavers using traditional Maori weaving skills by using both traditional and contempory materials. Our aim is to uphold the mana and tikanga of traditional Maori weaving and to participate in, and promote activities that invole and enhance our wider community. It was the foresight and the love of weaving that the late Yvonne Marshall QSM founded Te Whatu Raranga O High #bury Weavers and it has since thrived and created and inspired many fine weavers .


Harekeke (flax), wool, string, cotton, feathers, wood, paua shells and many other materials.
