Octavia Cade is the Massey University and Square Edge Community Arts 2020 writer-in-residence. Cade describes The Stone Wētā as ‘a story about data and distrust, and the manipulation of science for political gain, and what scientists may have to do to counter that… and the risks, both personal and professional, that resistance might bring to them.’
