The Square Edge team manage and support all operational activities within and extending out from the Square Edge Arts Centre. This includes our yearly exhibition schedule, ongoing and special events (including the Art Trail Manawatū) , the day to day running of the building and liaison with those who work within it. Our friendly, approachable team are located in the Square Edge Community Arts office – on the left just inside the main front doors and within our new Square Shop premises. Jane has worked for over 25 years in community, tourism, and events administration. She is an experienced financial and business manager.

Charlotte has a background in admin and marketing. She has a Diploma Of Interior Design and loves to express her creativity through handmade pieces that can be displayed in her home.

Bernadette is a photographic artist and has worked full-time for the past 25 years as a commercial and portrait photographer. 

Karen holds a BA (Hons) from Otago University and a MTchLn from Canterbury University, as well as teaching and educational management qualifications.  She has extensive experience as a professional development facilitator, conference presenter, music tour manager and as a writer, resource developer and assessment specialist for music in the NZ Arts curriculum.

Bernadette is a photographic artist and has worked full-time for the past 25 years as a commercial and portrait photographer. 

Michele is a fulltime artist and loves being part of Manawatu’s creative community. A local business owner with her husband and experienced in administration, she is in tune with developing business growth. Past employment includes floristry, radio advertising sales and promotion, staff management, and teacher aiding, including voluntary work for Mentor Ed, involving support and mentoring children in their school environment and teaching creatively.

Pari is year 12 student at Palmerston North Girls High School and the owner of Olive Books, based on the ground floor at Square Edge.

Steph has a Bachelor of Computer Graphics Design (Hons) as well as ATCL (singing) and AMusTCL (advanced music theory). Coming to Palmerston originally to work as a staff nurse at Mid Central Health she retrained in in her mid 20s and ran her own design and communications company for over 12 years. After a small break to complete some altered art and exhibition design projects, Steph has set up a successful music studio at Square Edge where she teaches a with range of students.

Vasudha is a tertiary educator, currently working at Massey University, Palmerston North. In the past, she has worked in a variety of roles in business consulting, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and publishing.Her daughter, Pari, owns the bookstore, Olive Books, on the Ground Floor of Square Edge.
