entrance galler and main gallery, SQUARE EDGE ARTS CENTRE

Art provided pathways to embrace the true essence of my culture and identity. I have always had an innate connection to the ancient art forms especially Tatau (tattoo) and Siapo (Tapa/ bark cloth).

I honour the sacred spaces that connect past/ present and future, upholding the core values and MANA of my tupuaga (ancestors) through my art.

I N I is my artist name and derives from a Rastafarian term I and I.

I N I means “the divine in me acknowledges the divine in you” it represents my belief in the connection to something higher than myself and that I am an extension of that divine source, as are we all.
